He is adept in diagnosing and managing various mental disorders in both adult and older adults include all types of dementia. He provides comprehensive and individualized care for his patients. He is trained in all areas of adult psychiatry including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, Adult Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and discreet office-based treatment of addiction.

As a psychiatrist with over 9 years of experience, I am adept at treating mental health concerns ranging from mood and anxiety disorders to interpersonal difficulties and life challenges. Knowing that these problems can affect anyone and cause significant impairment in one's life, I strive to provide compassionate and comprehensive care with the goal of restoring my patients to the state of mind and level of functioning they expect. My approach is an integrative one, wherein I assess one's psychological, emotional, medical and environmental contributors to problems and address these in treatment using both psychotherapy and medication management.

I am happy to announce the opening of my practice in Southlake, Texas. I am a board certified adult psychiatrist and offer medication management in combination with psychotherapy or alone. If you are already working with a therapist I will communicate closely with them regarding your care. I completed medical school and residency training at the Johns Hopkins school of Medicine and have had extensive experience working with patients age 13 and up. I do not believe in the '15 minute med check', rather I enjoy working with a small number of patients and developing meaningful relatioships with them.

I hold a Doctorate in Nursing from the University of Texas and am dual board-certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP-BC). Additionally, I completed a certificate program in Gerontology Healthcare. With years of experience working in outpatient and inpatient settings, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to my practice.

I am a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Practitioner with 12 years experience treating Adults/Adolescents & Geriatrics/Dementia. I realize that no two people are the same, so I collaborate with you to tailor treatment/ therapy to meet your specific needs as an individual. I love helping people understand the things that are holding them back with an in-depth approach. You can fully realize your strengths & adjust certain behaviors/thoughts to see things differently in a healthier way. Doris Cudjoe is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She has over 12 years of critical care and psychiatric nursing experience, and has worked for non-profit organizations as well as the federal government. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from University of Ghana, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Masters of Science in Nursing from University of Texas. Doris treats every patient as the unique individual they are. She is compassionate in her care and she pays attention to detail. Doris practices patient and family-centered care. She is married and has 3 beautiful daughters.
