Hi there! I am a New York Medical College, Lenox Hill Hospital, and Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai trained psychiatrist. I see kids, teens, and adults for therapy and also prescribe medications. Over the years, I have worked in a variety of settings including hospitals as a consultant to medical and surgical teams, inpatient psychiatric units, VA Hospital, various outpatient programs including intensive eating disorder program at Mount Sinai and the New School student health center. Currently, I hold a faculty position at NYU Langone Tisch Hospital and additionally see patients at NYU Brooklyn and Lenox Hill Hospitals.

Hello, my name is Panagiota Korenis and I am a board certified psychiatrist. My practice gives clients the opportunity to visit in unique ways. We do not need to conform to the norms of a traditional office. I offer flexible hours that include weekends, early mornings, and evenings. I do this because I hear clients when they tell me that they need to identify their “pockets of time” to work on their mental health. By offering alternative hours, I help clients balance the everyday challenges of life in a way that works for them.

As a licensed medical doctor and practicing psychiatrist, I specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of mental conditions. As an osteopathic, physician, my philosophy incorporates a complete integration of the mind and the body. My training, both in psychopharmacology (medication) and psychotherapy (talk therapy), helps me incorporate both treatment modalities in my practice. This approach also relates to work I do in public mental health where I work part time providing mental health care to the homeless, severely mentally ill and LGBT at risk youth.

I started my training by completing medical school at the University of Alabama School of Medicine and completed my psychiatry residency at St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital in New York City. For the first three years of my career I worked at St. Luke's Hospital both as Associate Training Director and as a general outpatient psychiatrist for patients, including those living with serious mental illness.
