Gauri Khurana
Psychiatrist, MD, MPH
From my training at Yale and Columbia, I believe in treating the patient as a whole, taking into account the entire person with their psychological, social, and spiritual needs. I treat people going through difficult life circumstances including relationship difficulties, family problems, anxiety, trauma and job stress. In addition, I treat all psychiatric disorders, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, obsessive/compulsive disorder, and panic disorder. By integrating psychotherapy, psychopharmacology, and guidance on lifestyle modifications, I strive to significantly improve my patients' general well-being. I work with children, adolescents and adults. I have a special interest in working with college and graduate students.
I work with all insurance companies as an out-of-network insurance provider with successful reimbursement rates (usually 70-100%.) I conduct video sessions for patients who are traveling/have moved away. I studied psychology at Columbia University and trained at Yale University for adult psychiatry, further specializing in child and adolescent psychiatry at NYU.
As a physician, I strive to nurture hope and insight, decrease suffering, and assist my patients in achieving their highest level of mental and emotional well-being via personal growth and expression. My office is located close to New York University (NYU), Parsons/The New School, and the School of Visual Arts (SVA.)
