(6 week group) The teenage years are challenging for teens. Teens face many new pressures and may not always react in the healthiest ways to the problems they encounter. Almost all teens can benefit from talking to a counselor or therapist. Clients will have a better understanding of why behaviors are negative, and how to cope. They will learn the ability to recognize and change negative thoughts that may cause or trigger their behaviors as well as find better ways to solve problems. Cognitive-behavioral therapy helps teens reduce their negative thought patterns and increase positive behaviors.

There are no words but many images of grief. Our expressive arts informed weekly support group utilizes therapeutic art to comfort feelings of loss. Loss is not "gotten over" but lived with. There is no formula to overcome grief. Our attachment styles can influence how we process and accept a permanent absence. Loss is traumatic and inevitable. We are never fully prepared. All we can do is live in the reality after a loss. How? One day at a time and staying emotionally safe while releasing our feelings.
