Eclectic Counselling in WC1H
I'm a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor with a LGBTQIA+ practice working with individuals, relationships and groups in Central London and Online. People seek counselling for many reasons - You might be struggling with anxiety and depression or challenging life events that left you feeling disconnected from yourself, your partner(s), or the world. Or you might be wanting to explore your gender/sexual identities experiences in a non-judgemental, safe space. Whilst all emotions are natural expressions of our human nature, traumatic events and systemic issues can be destabilising, leaving us feeling hopeless and stuck in a place of hurting.

Psychotherapy and counselling are immensely helpful tools when life challenges us beyond what we can cope with: the sudden loss of a job, the breakup of a relationship or the loss of a loved one. But even when we are not dealing with something that big and may simply feel adrift, or like we are struggling to reconnect to a sense of enthusiasm either professionally or personally, psychotherapy and counselling can help us to see these crises as opportunities for growth and change; portals to go beyond the limitations set by old patterns which no longer serve us, so that we may evolve into a better version of ourselves.

Being human can be a lot. It's easy to get stuck in ways of coping that limit & cause us pain. I support my clients in exploring their experiences & patterns, as well as their strengths & deeper identity, so they can live with more clarity, ease, authenticity & fulfilment. Whether you are facing specific struggles or feel a pull towards greater self-understanding & development, my dynamic toolbox helps me create a safe, relational & creative space where you can express yourself freely, make discoveries & move towards your healing & growth.

I have lived & worked in London most of my life. I am an experienced & qualified psychotherapist/coaching psychologist mostly working with a mix of cognitive behavioural therapy CBT & Psychodynamic theory. I have seen countless clients improve with these techniques over the years. I work efficiently to reach goals quickly, valuing time, cultivating motivation, and improving clients' sense of control. Most importantly, my role is active and seeks to first establish what the problems are, focusing therapy around these issues, and targeting them directly. I find this far more effective than relying solely on talking and listening.

Eclectic Counsellors
Many practitioners take an eclectic approach to therapy, drawing upon various aspects of cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic methods to create their own custom-made approach. Such therapists often work with their clients to create a treatment plan that encompasses different techniques to best address the client's particular problems and to appeal to their sensibility.
