Whether you are a first-time parent or a seasoned caregiver, navigating the joys and challenges of parenting children throughout their evolving ages and stages of development can be tough! Depending on your unique experience, complicated and layered emotions can arise in the parent-child dynamic which can bring us back to our own experiences as children. These memories may be painful or traumatic and can get in the way of being the parent we envisioned for ourselves.
Using an attachment-based and trauma-informed framework, we can dig deeper into your current parenting challenges and explore the ways in which your past may be showing up in your relationship with your children. This might also include examining messages you may have internalized about your own needs and emotions growing up.
I believe that all parents possess the strengths and tools to help their children thrive, and through a collaborative therapeutic process, those skills and expertise can flourish! Together, we will work to explore and integrate these experiences and look for ways to validate and tap into your intuition and self-compassion in the midst of parenting.
