Any one of us can face hard times or crises in our personal, work, or social lives. Stressors such as traumatic events, significant life changes, stacking of duties, huge responsibilities, negative peers, disapproving family, etc. can create pressure that feels like it is taking over our lives. We can feel overwhelmed, hopeless, lonely, stuck, scared, angry and more. When we experience this it can feel like our ability to cope is just beyond our grasp. Our job isn't fun anymore, our home life becomes affected, and we feel like things are slipping away. Holding on to this pain can make it last much longer. Let's chat about it.
In my approach, I adapt to the unique needs of each individual to make the conversation more comfortable. I rely on the client as the expert of their own life. In addition to counselling, I have experience as a husband, father, firefighter, church leader, youth worker, manager, mentor, athlete and coach. I regularly complete ongoing professional development.
I do not currently have a waitlist, so you can see me sooner! We can be creative in discussing how to move through your situation. A clinical setting is not always the best for counselling.
