I am a firm believer in Heal - Grow - Thrive. I am passionate about people's well-being and believe everyone deserves a chance to better themselves. Counselling is all about working on yourself for yourself. I believe clients should set their own counselling goals as they know themselves best. However, when setting these goals, every step they give towards their goal, small and big, should be acknowledged. I don't view my clients as having issues or problems but rather life challenges, and to that I say.. let's face them together! My areas of specialty include marriage/couple's counselling, counselling children using play therapeutic techniques, psychometric assessments to assist with career counselling and subject choice, suicidality, mood and behavioural changes, sexual identity concerns, transitions, family counselling, trauma, bereavement/grief/loss and anger management.

I am a Counselling Psychologist with a passion for human relationships and supporting people. I am devoted to promoting the mental health of others and empowering them to lead meaningful and fulfilling lives. It is deeply fulfilling for me to witness people thrive and grow personally. I feel privileged to experience and to have the opportunity to provide a safe, holding space for people to share in their joys and achievements but also collaborate with them to explore aspects of themselves and resolve their challenges.

My name is Danica Freimond (pictured on the right with my husband, Sean). I am a registered social worker with a passion to leave people better than I found them. I work from the person-centred approach and place a high value on your innate ability to change and grow. Just because we cannot see a mental health problem, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. It is purpose for me as a counsellor to give you a lift to the next filling station or borrow a wheel spanner for you to change the tyre. In my helping journey I meet individuals, couples, family and groups. No matter is taboo, too big or too small.
