The first thing I often tell new clients is this: at some point, my hope is that you won’t need to see me anymore. That might sound like a strange thing for a therapist to say, but for me, that is the heart of the work.
My role is not to keep you dependent on therapy, but to facilitate a process where you feel heard, understood and accepted — while also helping you reconnect with yourself, understand what is happening beneath the surface, and build the practical skills to move forward with more confidence.
I work from a person-centred approach, which means I place a high value on your innate ability to change and grow. I believe that when you are met with acceptance, clarity and the right support, you are able to make sense of your experiences and find your own unique way forward. The goal is to turn insight into practical steps you can use daily.
Therapy is not only about having someone to talk to. It is about learning to hear yourself more clearly, trust yourself more deeply, and leave with tools that support you long after the session ends.
