Our mission at Polaris Teen Center is to assist adolescents ages 13 to 17 in the initial phase of addressing and treating a mental disorder that has significantly impaired everyday functioning and has resulted in destructive consequences. During this transitional period, we empower clients and their families to transform their lives by replacing hopelessness, despair and self-destructive behaviors with renewed optimism, confidence and a plan for the future.

Our Comprehensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) residential treatment center in L.A. is perfect for teens and children ages 12-17 who struggle with mental or behavioral health, substance use, and dual diagnosis. Dialectical Behavior Therapy has a high success rate with substance use, depression, anxiety, high emotional sensitivity, self-harm, and/or suicidal behaviors. Our program incorporates all four requirements of a formal Comprehensive-DBT program: individual/family therapy, 24/7 in-the-moment skills coaching, skills training groups, and weekly staff consultation team. For out-of-state families, we conduct family therapy sessions via HIPAA-compliant video conference. In our skills-training groups, teens learn the four core skill-sets of DBT: Mindfulness, Emotion Regulation, Interpersonal Effectiveness, & Distress Tolerance. Adolescents benefit from psychiatric supervision, academic support, and experiential therapies: equine, surf, drama, music, art, yoga and more. While our primary modality is DBT, we also incorporate CBT, 12-Step, Relapse Prevention, PTSD treatment, and other evidence-based modalities depending on your teen or child’s clinical needs.

Sanctuary Treatment Center is located in the beautiful San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles, California. Our 42-bed facilities offer medical detox, inpatient rehab, residential treatment, executive-level programs, Veterans Track, as well as outpatient drug and alcohol treatment programs. We operate our own sober living and transitional living, plus a robust alumni aftercare program. Our intimate group setting fosters an environment where clients feel safe and comfortable. We assist our clients in finding long-term recovery. Sanctuary is a dual-diagnosis facility that addresses substance use, along with other mental health issues and disorders. Treatment plans are customized to meet individual needs. Our residential house for addiction treatment has a maximum of 6 beds, which provides the personal attention and dedication required to overcome an alcohol or drug addiction. Welcome to California Family Counseling - CalFam - a community mental health center in Chatsworth, California and throughout California via telehealth. We offer Couples Counseling and Family Therapy AT NO CHARGE, and Individual Therapy on a sliding scale, based on ability to pay. For 50 years, CalFam has been providing a safe, compassionate and confidential place for people from all walks of life to find the help they need. Services are provided by pre-licensed therapists supervised by fully licensed therapists. Openings are available for children (6+), adolescents, and adults through telehealth for all California residents. The counseling center offices are due to reopen in January 2022.
