Teletherapy for Superior, WI

Hello. I am a licensed clinical social worker dual licensed in Minnesota and Wisconsin with over 30 years of work experience in the medical and mental health fields. I strive to help clients develop healthy coping strategies to navigate life struggles. I have a direct but compassionate style, while providing a non-judgmental environment with a strength based and collaborative approach. I have experience helping clients through a wide range of mental health concerns including; depression, anxiety, PTSD, trauma, grief& loss, health anxiety and life transitions.

The Encouragement Clinic is pleased to be able to provide therapy services from multiple clinicians. We serve all ages; individuals; families and group therapy. We offer in person at our Superior location; Walk and Talk therapy ;telehealth. Several providers are trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) which is a trauma intervention. We provide services for grief and loss. We offer therapy for maternal mental health. We are also working in partnership with the City of Superior and the Superior school district to provide therapy services in the Middle and High Schools.

People often come to see me when things are huge mess in their lives and they need a calm and safe space to sort it out. Help them get unstuck and move forward. About half of the people I see are teenagers (14+) who aren't really fond of anyone right now (I love those ones). And the other half are adults. You'll find me to be fairly informal as a person, direct, kind and real. I've been doing therapy since 2003 and it's what I would do even if work wasn't a thing. Issues range from trauma, depression, anxiety and addiction.

During our sessions together, I strive to create an environment where you will feel supported and can be your authentic self. I value a holistic approach to therapy and think it is important to nurture all aspects of an individual: mind, body, and spirit. My approach tends to be motivational and strengths-based. My goal for each session is to empower you and work with you to create positive change.
