**I AM CURRENTLY ACCEPTING CLIENTS MONDAY-FRIDAY FOR 9AM-3PM** I work with clients who struggle with anxiety, as well as those struggling with trauma and domestic abuse, among other concerns. My goal is to help clients locate and harness their power to heal. I use a variety of techniques while operating at a pace that is in-tune with the client's needs.

Recovery from a substance use disorder is, for many who suffer from it, an almost impossible & unattainable dream; yet so many individuals continue to wish for it. Our world, our country, our state, and our community continues to be ravaged from this disease; like everywhere else in our world right now. There is hope though! What if I told you that recovery is possible! It is attainable! Not only that, but you don't have to figure it out on your own! Having a substance use disorder affects every aspect of your life; which means you will need to make changes in every aspect of your life & I can help you in that journey.

James has a Masters(MSW), and PhD in Clinical Social Work. Post Doctoral Certificate of Psychoanalysis and Certificate Corporate Counseling and Consulting. Education aside, James has a down to earth clinical approach designed to meet the wants and needs of each patient. Relationships are an important focus; including the relationship one has with oneself. Dr. Lipusch prefers that treatment goals include having fun with life.

My approach to therapy is strengths-based and solution-focused using a variety of treatment modalities such as cognitive-behavioral interventions, mindfulness, and person-centered therapy. I believe that every person has value and strengths and that through the right support and trust, individuals can create change in their lives and reach their highest potential. I am passionate about providing a healing space for those that want to welcome their complete and authentic selves.

I primarily work with individuals, but also work with a family when needed. I am often described as energetic, with a great sense of humor. As a counselor, I strive to be empathic and authentic with my clients. I practice with a Person Centered approach and draw from Interpersonal Psychotherapy and Existentialism. With these ideas, we build our therapeutic relationship on trust and understanding. We work on goals that you feel are important – you are the expert in your life!

I work with people who want to build confidence - in themselves, their relationships, and their paths forward. My 1:1 clients feel overwhelmed, burnt out, and they often say they have imposter syndrome. Our work focuses on improving the relationship they have with themselves so that they have more peace and balance in their daily lives.

People seek out therapy for a wide variety of reasons. Sometimes, the issues they are struggling with start out minor and they want help before the issues become too difficult. On other occasions, the problems have become unmanageable and dealing with them alone becomes too daunting. Some of those personal issues include anxiety, depression, stress at home, school and/or work, emotional dysregulation, among others. Therapy can help get a handle on any of those issues to help people carry on with every day living in a more productive fashion.

I have over 16 years of experience working with children, individuals, and families who have wide range of clinical needs. I believe that therapy goals and techniques are based on the individual's and/or family's needs, and I meet them where they are at in their process of growth. I have many years of experience working with children (and families) who have Pervasive Developmental Disorders (Autism, and Asperger's Syndrome). I also have experience working with children and adults who present a variety of behavioral and mental health challenges. I enjoy facilitating groups on social skills, anger management, and various parenting topics.

I work with True Believers LLC a DHS certified outpatient mental health and substance abuse clinic. True Believers LLC strives to meet our consumers' hierarchy of needs by addressing issues that they face such as housing, lack of employment, no insurance, lack of support, legal problems, unresolved health concerns, and many more. I specialize in Substance and Alcohol Abuse Disorders. I will meet you where ever you are at in your recovery journey from a harm reduction approach.

My specialty is working with couples who have been impacted by substance abuse, along with those that have stopped believing in themselves. I believe in working with the whole family system focusing on healing the internal conflict that lies within the system. I do this by using several therapeutic approaches such as Internal Family Systems, Structural Family Therapy, Emotional Focused Couples Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I work with my clients on addressing attachment injuries, internal conflict, finding internal balance, and increasing individuals' confidence in themselves.
