Imagine you are on a sinking ship, gazing at the shore past the deep blue sea. Notice what thoughts and feelings are coming up for you in that moment? Are they heavy? You then scramble to find something to help you reach safety, when you find a single piece of wood. You begin to paddle for what feels like forever until you finally make it to shore..whew! Now much like the thoughts and feelings invoked by the sinking ship experience run parallel to the challenges faced in our lives. These challenges can feel heavy, overwhelming and endless; we just want to experience relief, but sometimes we don't have the paddle, or the tools yet..
My passion is to empower and support individuals towards growth and healing while creating a purposeful life driven by one’s values; to be equipped with the paddle that leads ashore. The therapeutic relationship aims to foster broadened perspective, psychological and behavioral flexibility, emotional balance, and meaningful interactions with self and others.
Therapy can be a process that brings rise to pleasant and unpleasant emotions at times, and therefore I am dedicated to providing a safe, warm, non-judgmental space as we venture though the deep waters together. I strive to always be present with you, whether we sail through a calm ocean or ride the plunging waves.
