Hello, my name is Shailah Haynes and I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker-Clinical Practice (LISW-CP). My approach is to help you identify strengths to be the best version of yourself. My focus area includes stress, anxiety, depression, grief, postpartum, HIV, and life changes.

Life sometimes has unexpected events that you may need help navigating. I am honored to walk with you along your journey. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (NC), Licensed Professional Counselor (SC), a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist Associate (LCASA), and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). I graduated from Montreat College, in Charlotte with a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have over 10 years experience working with adolescents, adults, & abused/neglected children. I was also the liaison for Union County Department of Social Services and the FBI in regards to Human Trafficking.

Our definition of recovery is working towards our truest and highest self, not just working towards abstinence. We are trauma specialists in active recovery and focus on healing trauma while reinstating a sense of self. We believe that if you do the hard work, and you keep coming back, you will get better. Our therapists are relationship experts in developing the roadmap to other relationships through self.

I have a passion for helping people learning to manage chronic mental or physical health conditions. I have 7 years of experience as a social worker, and 3 years of experience as a mental health therapist. I enjoy helping people with anxiety, depression, and OCD, as well as chronic health conditions. I have experience working with people with conditions. I want to help people experience life to the fullest despite any diagnoses they may have by learning coping skills and managing physical and mental symptoms.

I enjoy working with people who recognize they aren't where they want to be; stuck in transition, unsure of what's next, etc. As a therapist, I unpack the puzzles of life with you and often end sessions with challenges to you for our time apart to work through some of the challengign pieces of the puzzle of life that we are working on.
