Briana Valletta is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Rhode Island who has been practicing since 2023. Briana uses a person-centered approach that pulls from an individual's strengths to establish a treatment plan and help individuals reach their targeted goals. Outside of work, Briana enjoys riding motorcycles and traveling.

My areas of expertise are stress/anxiety management, postoperative/postsurgical depression and anxiety, athlete mental health, life transitions (e.g. perimenopause), and health and wellness. I can help you learn ways to lower your stress levels, recover quicker from injury or surgery, attain balance in your life, or cope with the challenges of major life transitions. I am a licensed therapist who specializes in co-occurring disorders working in complicated communities for over 12 years. I have provided therapy for all stages of addiction and recovery, in addition to working with those of different age groups and populations. I have worked in a variety of settings with a wide knowledge base in recovery resources.

Tim le Jacq Smith is a clinical psychologist who initially attended Lesley College, graduating with a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology. After several years of treating individuals with addictions and victims of abuse, he returned to school. He graduated from the Massachusetts School of Psychology with a doctorate in clinical psychology in 1999. Tim has experience treating individuals with anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma. He specializes in psychological testing with adults who desire greater diagnostic clarity on some of the problems they are struggling with.

A little bit about me... I am a Registered Play Therapist, Licensed Mental Health Counselor in RI/MA, Certified Grief Counselor and recently became certified as a Facilitator of the Broken Bowl Technique. I attended the Expressive Arts Institute at Salve Regina University. I am a former Board Member of the New England Association for Play Therapy. I see clients ages 2-12 individually, but do involve family members. I am in the office weekdays. I am NOT accepting any court involved cases requiring contact with: lawyers/GAL/DCYF/and court letters, as well as those that require a higher level of care due to safety issues.
