I have 20 years experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, relationship issues, emotional regulation, life transitions, grief, religious trauma, self-love/compassion/forgiveness, and college student mental health.
I love to collaborate with clients who seek to explore the connections between their present experiences and the chapters of their past. Discovering these patterns gives us the ability to change the future. It also provides the opportunity to cultivate self-love, forgiveness, and compassion, which serves as a resilient foundation upon which we can experience transformative changes. Leveraging insight and intuition from experience, I aim to support you in experiencing those revelatory "aha" moments—both significant and subtle—where connections previously unnoticed suddenly come to light. These moments mark the real magic of therapy!

I believe in the transformative power of a healing relationship.
All of us will need help with stressors, adjustments, and relationships at various points throughout life. I know all of us have value and are deserving of love, support, encouragement, and acceptance. I am a licensed professional clinical counselor and art therapist experienced in working with clients impacted by depression, anxiety, and trauma. I see individual adult clients via telehealth and in-office. If you are feeling overwhelmed or just want to get to know yourself more fully, talking to an objective party such as myself can really help express and organize your thoughts and feelings.

The clients who come to me are looking for more than someone to listen and nod. While being "heard" is an important component of counseling, clients experience the most growth when they are challenged to explore themselves and their relationships from more than surface level. I facilitate growth and change by identifying patterns. Do you wonder why you have patience for everyone except yourself or your partner? Do you find yourself getting triggered by seemingly insignificant interaction? Are you a perfectionist? People pleaser? Do you find that achievement of goals hasn't brought you the happiness that you thought it would?

As a licensed professional counselor (LPC) I feel it's important to empower clients by giving them the tools to meet their personal goals. Throughout life we go through life experiences where we may feel powerless or not in control, but we do have control over how we cope or react to life circumstances. By offering a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental place to guide clients through their healing process I hope to inspire confidence and the innate resiliency that I believe is in each of us.

Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
