My ideal clients are adolescents and adults who are ready to break old habitual patterns which perpetuate symptoms and internal conflict. The source of the problem lies in defense responses created to avoid painful unconscious material from early childhood and/or other traumatic experiences. Traditional talk therapy is limited in its results because it doesn't get to the root of the problem which lies in the central nervous system and deeper parts of the brain.

As an Army Veteran and a solution-focused pragmatist, I like to cut to the chase. I am an LMHC with experience in treating depression, anxiety, trauma, substance abuse, dually diagnosed, and a variety of other mental health needs. I have a Master’s in Counseling/Community Psychology with a certification in Forensic Mental Health. My work experience includes crisis services, psychiatric Emergency Room, and incarcerated adults. I am a Certified Anger Management Specialist through the NAMA, and provide Impaired Driving Assessments through the Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS).

I offer a safe space for all forms of self-expression for individuals and couples across the sexuality spectrum. Often when we are placed in environments with intense levels of stress, whether this is from relationship issues, anxiety/depression, addiction or other life situations, we hold pain and trauma deep in our bodies. When we are unable to process and release this from our bodies, we become stuck in patterns that are unhealthy. I also specialize in couples therapy, utilizing Gottman Method Techniques as well as Emotionally Focused Therapy, to provide a safe space to explore sexual, relational and life challenges.
