I currently offer individual therapy to address mood disorders, post traumatic stress disorder, anxiety disorders and other issues related to behavioral health, stress, and grief. I am experienced in both individual and group crisis counseling and offer relationship, and family therapy. I am working on offering several therapeutic groups including a support/educational group for parents of behaviorally challenged children, a sexual assault group and a homicide support group for surviving family members. In home counseling for agoraphobic situations are available.

Dr. Williams provides therapeutic services to children, adolescents, adults, caregivers and families exhibiting a diversity of emotional and behavioral health concerns, including but not limited to, depression, self-esteem, anger, anxiety, divorce, adjustment disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder/trauma, ADHD, learning disorders, behavioral disorders, and parent/caregiver concerns. I see clients with anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic illness, spiritual concerns, adjustment struggles, and relationship issues. I have some training in Lay Biblical Counseling by CCEF and am certified in Prepare/Enrich, which can be used for both premarital and married couples.

I am here to guide you through the uncomfortable parts of life both present and past, sit in them with you and work together to find a way through. I bring a straightforward approach and will push you to explore places of yourself you may want to run from. I believe therapeutic treatment should consist of a mutually respectful relationship between myself as the provider, and you as the client, in which we work together to confront the underlying beliefs and experiences that have brought you to therapy. I am also familiar with working in conjunction with local school districts to provide additional support for student mental health.

I have a soft spot for working with adolescents and young adults, especially young women and individuals from the LGBTQ+ community. We collaboratively work together to identify goals and to create a plan to move toward them. In counseling, we work on enhancing self-esteem, self-worth, and independence by targeting negative beliefs. Clients and I have worked through a host of concerns including anxiety, depression, OCD, adjusting through life transitions, breakups, and identity issues.

I am very passionate about my work with my clients. I use a humanistic and attachment-based approach with a systemic lens. I use a trauma-informed approach. I strive to assist my clients with reaching their goals through supportive reflection, insight building and expressive techniques. I see myself as a compass in a client's journey, assisting them reach their goal destination. I work well with a variety of personality types and presenting concerns, ranging from core attachment injuries to trauma to infidelity to anxiety & depression among others. I use a variety of techniques based on client fit.

I am a licensed, professional counselor in the state of Ohio. I am able to work with clients presenting with diverse issues related to personal and relational wellness. These issues include anxiety, grief and loss, adjustment to life changes or stressors, depression, trauma, substance use and addiction-related issues. Interventions are an effective strength of mine.

In addition to Telehealth, I offer walk & talk therapy, where we talk on the phone while we both walk outside! We will integrate the action of forward movement, breathing new air, and grounding ourselves in the present moment as we unpack your world. I'm here to help you recognize that you absolutely have the power to change the things you don't love about your life. You will learn how to best serve you, and unlearn things that no longer serve you.
