I work in an integrative way, drawing on a variety of theories that will allow us to look at the root of your concerns. I also utilize mindfulness techniques and behavioral strategies to help you improve your coping and self-care skills.

The goal of my practice is to improve the quality of life of my clients and assist them reach their full potential and personal goals. Specializing in family and couple therapy. Together with my client we work as a team to achieve the therapeutic goals and make life worth living and enjoying. I have been working in a mental health for over a decade and it's my greatest passion in life.

I have experienced the healing that comes from having the space to explore, grow, and understand new parts of yourself, while also being held and accepted for exactly who you are right now. This doesn’t mean that I won’t challenge you to grow and adapt at times, but my hope is that you will also know you are fully accepted just as you are. I believe that a therapeutic relationship based on trust and collaboration is the foundation of this work and that counseling can not, and should not, look the same for everybody. Over thirty years of experience partnering with clients of all ages, from a wide variety of backgrounds, has confirmed for me each person has within themselves the resources and ability to become the person they wish to be and to improve their satisfaction in life. As a therapist I partner with each client helping them to identify patterns of thought and behavior that are no longer effective and guide them in discovering new, more rewarding ways of relating and connecting with others. I have been in the mental health field for five years with a master’s in mental health counseling and, currently, obtaining my doctorate in counselor education. I have worked with a plethora of symptomatic presentations, but my specialties lie in cutting-edge practices of chronic pain and mind-body disorders, sexual disorders, and trauma/PTSD. Prior experience in domestic violence and sexual assault crisis counseling, along with community advocacy for mental health services. I view health holistically: mind, body, and spirit. I have a deep understanding of how our mind and body effect one another; overall health is my priority.

I have experience working with adults, children, couples, families and groups and treating a variety of diagnoses including anxiety, depression, sleep disorders, ADHD, PTSD, grief, eating disorders, OCD, self injury, mood disorders, personality disorders, and substance abuse. I often use mindfulness techniques, creative arts therapy, DBT and CBT to help clients find balance and joy.
