Footprints was started by a therapist who realized that often times the services provided to low socio-economic communities is lacking quality care. We noticed these communities were confronted with long wait times, disrespectful admins, and subpar treatment. The one and only purpose was to exploit the community for profit without providing the level of care deserved. Feel Better Therapy began from the inspiration to provide quality mental health care to the poorest of communities and treating the clients of this community the same way a rich patient would be treated in a clinic treating affluent clients.

Thank you!** I am a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in the assessment and treatment of trauma, substance abuse, obsessionality, anxiety, mood and relationship concerns, and cross-cultural issues. Most of my work is with clients belonging to LGBTQ, immigrant and/or marginalized communities. I identify as culturally Muslim and work with many Muslim clients. As of mid-July, I'll be resuming fully in-person sessions.

I hold the belief that everyone can benefit from therapy. Therapy is not just for those who are severely “mentally ill” or struggling. The therapy room can be a safe space for you to explore and get to know the more vulnerable, intimate, and darker parts of yourself. I work with adult women (mostly in their 20s and early 30s), more specifically women of color (e.g., Arab, South Asian, East Asian, Black, and Latinx). I grew up Muslim and in the Arab world, so I have a deep understanding of the experience of religious minorities and marginalized communities.
