In our time together, I will strive to help you feel comfortable to be yourself and ease those worries. As an attachment-based therapist, I believe it is the relationship between you and I that matters the most. My goal is to create an environment that will suit your personality and the goals you have for yourself.

My practice supports authentic living. I hope to join with persons and offer my understanding of where they are. Such genuine contact encourages awareness of possibilities that otherwise remain just out of reach. Relationship is central; foundations of healthy relationships include trust, respect, honesty and risk-taking. Persons I sit with commonly say I am supportive and challenging, non-judgmental and honest. Persons with previous therapy experience say that our play together is "different" than their other therapy relationships, perhaps because I fundamentally believe persons are good and have inherent power to grow and change.

My services are rendered towards children, adolescents, and adults beginning at the age of 7 years of age. I have a background in ABA services and behavioral intervention. I offer services for a range of diagnoses and issues that include Mood Disorders, Personality Disorders, Trauma, Family Conflict, and Anxiety.

I began my career in counseling in the 1980’s when I served as a Correctional Counselor for the California Department of Corrections. While working for the Department of Corrections, I received many life lessons that inform my practice today. Though too numerous to mention, the most salient points include the resiliency of the human spirit, the resolve of a vision, and the truth that our true and lasting wealth is “this moment, this hour, this day.”

I am certified in biofeedback and provide various modalities of treatment to meet your personal theraputic needs and development. I also have a strong understanding and training in multiculturalism and diversity consciousness.

Mrs. Jones has a Bachelors in Human Service Management and a Masters in Psychology. She’s a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Intern. Throughout her career she’s volunteered as a CASA and worked as a QBA, QMHA, and ABA. She specializes in individual, couples, families, and child therapy. She brings a unique perspective to family therapy as she has worked in the behavioral and mental health field for some time now. Mrs. Jones facilitates community youth groups and IOP‘s. She has experience working with clients who have ADHD, PTSD, impulse control, personality disorders, and mood disorders. Mrs. Jones is also trained in EMDR.

I graduated from South University in Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. When working with individuals, couples, adolescents, and families, I use strategies from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Enhancement Therapy. I have years of expertise treating serious mental health problems, trauma, and addictions. In order to help clients and families make the healthiest and most proactive decisions for their lives, I will support, empower and motivate you to seek and achieve the goals you wish to set for yourself.

Life is full of stressors, and these stressors probably got more complicated by surrounding crisis like the pandemic. YOU are not the only one; you are not alone in this. Help is always there for those who seek it. You could have anxiety or you could have gone through traumatic experience, and going through grief. I am also licensed to provide treatment for individuals struggling with addiction and their affected family members. Additionally, I am a primary supervisor currently accepting state interns.
