I facilitate a safe and comfortable environment for clients. I aim to uplift and empower clients to believe in their abilities and achieve self-discovery. I focus on strategies to manage stress, depression, anxiety and life transitions. I offer therapy for adults. Taking the journey alongside a client through life's most trying moments and partnering with them to overcome obstacles is a privilege I take seriously.

At some point in our lives everyone experiences some kind of emotional pain or stress. At times like this, it is important to be able to create purposeful goals and solutions in a supportive, safe and compassionate environment. My goal is to create this environment where individuals can gain an understanding of their experiences and feelings and then take proactive steps to change their lives in a positive way.

I believe that we are all worthy of dignity, respect and love. This does not mean we have not suffered or experienced shame, guilt and loss-for things we have done and things that have been done to us. With you as the guide and me in a support role, I hope we can explore these issues so that healing and peace will occur. On this sometimes difficult and challenging journey, I hope we can get to work together to find resolution and understanding and come to the place where you are empowered to make new and healthier choices. I have an individualized, empathetic, and interactive approach to psychotherapy. I work with clients in crisis, coping with previous or on-going trauma, and those simply looking for direction. I work with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, eating disorders, self-harm, sexual, emotional and/or physical abuse, LGBTQ+ issues, PTSD and complex/developmental trauma. My approach is a theoretical blend of psychodynamic, humanistic, existential, and client-centered.

My goal as a clinician is to cultivate a safe, supportive, and empowering environment where you feel comfortable to express yourself authentically. Together, we can use an integrative approach toward healing through mindfulness, expressive art, and other evidenced based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Internal Family Systems.

My mission is to help my clients build a fulfilling and joyful life by overcoming their shame, smallness, and fear. Like you, my clients struggled with depression and anxiety despite being hardworking, capable, and appear to have it all together. Life is hard. Sometimes the strongest among us, need a little help. You may have tried therapy before, but need to go deeper in your healing. You may fear this pattern is what life is supposed to be. It doesn't have to be. I provide a holistic and integrative approach to healing helping you overcome your challenges and live the life you want to live.

My goal in therapy is to provide my clients a safe, secure environment in which to explore their inner thoughts and emotions. Change can be a scary and vulnerable process, but through a collaborative therapeutic relationship, I my hope that my clients establish a more comprehensive understanding of themselves and utilize healthy resources to cope with events that influence their lives. Together, within a trusting and supportive atmosphere, I hope to empower clients to achieve personal growth through awareness and recognition of their own unique perspectives and abilities.

I have over 30 years of experience working with children and families. In addition, I am a certified EMDR therapist working with all ages. My career has focused on supporting children, adolescents, and families from diverse backgrounds with issues related to learning difficulties, attachment disorders, sensory integration disorders, adolescent issues and anxiety. As a result I have a wealth of experience in assessment, Autism, ADHD, crisis management, depression, divorce, family and parenting issues, grief and loss, trauma/PTSD, positive behavior support and modification, problem solving, and stress reduction and management.

Trevor is particularly passionate about serving the LGBTQIA+ community. He has worked with individuals that have experienced foster care, survivors of domestic and sexual violence, individuals beginning and maintaining their substance use recovery, and individuals in the LGBTQIA+ community.

Having experience in two sides of the counseling field thus far, my history includes working in a jail and substance use rehab with addiction struggles, heightened mental health diagnoses, and high-severity felony offenders, as well as alternatively having experience in education and foster settings with Pre-K through 12th grade school-age children and adolescents. Additionally, my focus is on working with LGBTQ+ individuals and families. This is to say, I work to ensure a judgment-free environment, and the achievement of success for a client as they define it.
