Hello! I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor in Michigan with 16 years of experience. I have worked extensively with young and middle-aged adults on concerns ranging from depression, anxiety, substance abuse and trauma to eating disorders, relationship challenges and academic & career transition issues. I am an avid runner, former college athlete and spend lots of time outdoors with my family (husband and two boys aged 7 and 10) in all seasons kayaking, camping and skiing.

Each person has a unique life experience; the challenges they face and strengths they draw from are wholly their own. My aim as a therapist is to help clients see things from a new perspective, and tap into their strengths and resilience to meet their goals. I see each client as a person, rather than a diagnosis, and try to meet them where they are at in life’s journey. Together, we collaborate to form a person-centered treatment plan that reflects the client’s needs and goals.

We provide short-term and in-depth counseling and psychotherapy. Our therapists are experienced and educated in a variety of approaches and techniques. Adolescents and children who struggle with bullies or just find school as difficult. I also work with adolescents and adults with substance abuse concerns, addiction, and I also perform crisis intervention.

My name is Melissa Terry and my specialties are marriage and family therapy and addiction treatment. I have worked in this field for 14 years and am passionate about helping others reach their goals.
