Hello! My name is Steve Duff and I am excited to begin this journey with you. I previously worked in the community mental health setting and gained a deeper understanding of mental health disorders, especially in the area of trauma. I was fortunate enough to work with clients from different backgrounds and gain experience in the treatment of various mental health disorders. It was through this experience that I became passionate about working with individuals that have experienced trauma. I believe that I am different than most therapists, as I am real. I am a human being first and foremost, before a therapist.

I believe in the importance of having a warm, welcoming environment and helping you feel comfortable sharing your reasons for seeking counseling. Welcome to Hope Consult & Counseling Services. Life is a journey that is rarely straight or smooth. So, you are not alone. I have over 10+ years of experience serving individuals, couples (pre - and married), and families from diverse cultural backgrounds. I integrate approaches as best fits my clients, keeping in mind the value of understanding life and cultural contexts at play. Through therapy sessions, I provide a safe space to connect and delve into areas of their interest and need. Virtual and in- person sessions being offered. I work with all ages, and families to address a wide range of emotional and behavioral problems. I discover and get to know each person individually. I base my counseling style on my clients needs, strengths and goals. I utilize multiple models in the counseling experience: Advanced Accelerated Resolution; ART, Cognitive Behavioral, Dialectical Behavioral and Play Therapies. I apply Therapeutic Art Techniques to the treatment process. I also have had real life experiences dealing and overcoming life stressors of my own. I offer Mental Health, ADHD and Parenting Assessments/ Classes.
