Garth specializes in marriage, couples and family therapy and is passionate about the family unit and the various relationships within it. He has extensive experience working with children and young adults as well as with their parents to strengthen relationships and accomplish their goals. Garth's counseling approach is rooted in person centered and attachment theories. His desire is to develop a strong therapeutic relationship where people feel understood, valued and encouraged to be who they desire to be.

I am honored to have had the privilege of working with many amazing people over the past 25+ years. I specialize in working with trauma and abuse, PTSD. I also work with Depression, Bipolar, Anxiety disorders, OCD, and Adjustment disorders. I use a variety of treatment modalities with a psychodynamic approach including EMDR, ACT, CF-CBT; most importantly is the relationship and trust felt between the client and myself. I believe in the resiliency of the mind, body, spirit, and I am thankful to have the opportunity to walk beside those while they find their way to peace and happiness.

I am a trauma informed, sex positive clinician that strives to improve connection between couples, provide inclusive sex education and focus on individuals reducing distress and improving their quality of life. I am passionate about assisting individuals & couples with enhancing communication, reducing conflict, set boundaries, resolve trauma, and cope effectively with all of life's stressors. As well as providing sex therapy to individuals & couples, I also have 10+ years experience providing DBT and EMDR therapy to teenage and adult clients and have a weekly DBT group for adults.

I believe that even though the human experience is subjective and unique, there are ways to connect and heal that transcend the superficial and speak to the core essence of our humanity and our shared experience of being alive. I have specialized training and education in treating ADHD in children and adults, in prenatal and postpartum mood and anxiety disorders, substance abuse, and trauma. I utilize a type of therapy called Somatic Experiencing to heal trauma which aims to restore the individual's nervous system to a less reactive state.
