Angela is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP-II). Highly trained in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), her passion is centered on relationships, and helping families move forward in a healthy, productive way with a solution-focus. Angela's goal is to help clients explore the complex dramas that occur during and after their relationship to help them identify and transform negative processes and interaction patterns that are preventing progress whatever the desired direction. Angela believes this is where we start in making sure any child(ren) involved are best served.

My philosophy in working with individual, couples and families is to provide a safe environment that enable individuals feel free to express their emotions, feelings and work at solutions, conflicts stress and life changes. I work from a strengths perspective and family systems theory. I have experience with ages 10 to 90. Some of my areas of expertise are Grief and Loss, Sexual Addictions, Depression, Anxiety, Trauma, and PTSD, Sexual, Emotional and Physical abuse. Drug and Alcohol Assessments, SASSI, ASI, KCPC, Individual and Group Therapy for Addictions.

There's so much keeping us alienated from our true selves. Our lives are impacted by systemic oppression, generational trauma, cultural pressure, relationships, and even ourselves - interactions that cause harm and leave us feeling unsafe and unseen. The symptoms of these impacts, if not annihilating, leave us disconnected, discouraged, drained. I believe that therapy is a process of changing our relationship to ourselves and our experience so we can transform our presence in the world around us. We have much to heal from and the more we’re aware of our systems, selves, bodies, and triggers the better we are at living.

I specialize working with people who have experienced trauma, anxiety and depressive issues, bipolar, as well as substance use disorders.
