I use a solution-focused model with clients. We focus on a person's present state and create goals to achieve where they would ideally like to be. I like for clients to recognize their own potential and capabilities. If needed, CBT can be used to learn how our past trauma and other circumstances can still have a current daily affect.

I provide a judgement free atmosphere where a client can feel comfortable discussing any issues that they feel they are facing. I am open minded and consider all people's backgrounds, cultures, sexuality, religions, and understand how any and/or all of these can sometimes help or hinder a person's healing and progress.
