Unresolved trauma often negatively affects our relationships, careers, and physical, mental, emotional, & spiritual health. People who have experienced trauma are often doing the very best they know how to deal with the emotional and physiological response to what has happened to them. People often don't realize the struggles they are having in their lives can be linked to things that have happened in the past. They try to change their behavior with little to no success, or easily fall back into old habits.
I teach people research based techniques that have been shown to be effective in the treatment of trauma. Some of the tools I use are Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Body Centered Mindfulness.
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is also known as Tapping. We tap on Acupressure points which send calming signals to the brain. Research has shown EFT to be effective in reducing symptoms of anxiety, Trauma, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and Chronic Pain that is related to stress.
