I am a licensed clinical therapist, who has over a decade of experience in the treatment of individuals as well as family systems. I began my experience in the field of Wilderness Therapy where I continue to draw from nature's inherent healing capacity. I operate from a strength-based perspective while utilizing knowledge of the most current research based treatment. I believe our life experience is a journey of change and transformation. When we take the courage to address our greatest conflicts, we enter a gateway to open to our greatest potential.

My name is Sandra Gunn and I am a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist in Idaho. I have worked extensively with families, children and couples for many years in private practice. I have also worked in the Non Profit sector advocating for children's safety and strong family systems. My many years as a business owner has given me hands on life experiences, both with managing children, work, and relationships. I believe that the key to a fulfilled life is to keep it simple as is my view on change and therapy- focus on our strengths with positive affirmations, and make small attainable goals and trust me change will follow.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Marriage Friendly Therapist. I have been a pastor (6 years) and U.S. Army Chaplain from 1972-1997. I have two graduate degrees (M.Div. from Andrews University, 1975 and a M.Ed. from the University of Louisville in Marriage and Family Therapy, 1986). I organized and directed three Chaplain Family Life Ministry and Training Center and was the Director for the U.S. Army Family Life Chaplain Training Program at Fort Benning and Columbus State University. I have trained clergy, licensed professional counselors, social workers, and family practice physicians throughout the United States.

Ideal clients include those seeking help with navigating relationships and communication, substance use, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, self acceptance, self worth, self confidence, depression, and anxiety. Couples are welcome and encouraged. Other ideal clients include those seeking to learn personal responsibility, accountability, and personal change.

Taking that first brave step toward healing can feel intimidating at first. In order to be successful on your journey to better mental health, you need to feel safe and supported. It is my privilege to provide that to the individuals and families I serve as a mental health therapist. The word ‘Assuage’ means, in part, “To lessen the intensity of, to mitigate or relieve.” That is my mission; for my clients to feel heard, understood, and to learn some healthy tools needed in navigating past trauma or daily stressors so that they feel less overwhelming.

Tammy has dedicated nearly two decades to helping others reach their full potential. With an exceptional background in counseling, she walks with people through difficult times – like trauma and terminal illness – or everyday life pressures. She even works as a suicide negotiator! Recognized in youth ministry leadership at the International House of Prayer Ministries plus her pastoral counseling commitment that no one has to endure pain alone brings incredible accessibility for all.

Therapy should help you find answers to questions and experience strength, confidence and the life you wish to live. 30 years of experience has allowed me to work effectively with many different individuals; couples, parents, college students, families and groups. I have extensive training in EMDR for trauma, addictions, couples and family therapy. My role as your therapist is to support, direct, encourage, and challenge you in gaining clarity, understanding, insight, courage, and peace of mind.

Now offering Mental Health Evaluations for court purposes. I provide counseling to teens, adults, first responders, couples and families in Idaho and Washington. It is my desire to help clients of all ages who are seeking support and understanding with depression, anxiety, adoption, military life, and marriage and family issues. I have an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and an MA in Human Services, Marriage and Family Counseling. I grew up in Washington State, married my husband in 1995 and we have traveled across the United States since then with the military. We recently settled in Priest River and are excited to start a new chapter in our lives. We have two adult boys, and adopted an 11-year-old special needs girl in 2015. I would love to walk in your journey wherever you are.

In my 20 years of experience, I have helped many individuals as they deal with anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, grief and loss as well as relationship issues.

I offer coaching and psychotherapy to support women who wish to connect with and express their most authentic Self, in order live a life aligned with their soul's purpose. I help you to move beyond fear, doubt and shame inflicted by culture and life experience, so that you may love yourself more fully and offer your gifts freely to the world. To support you in this deep healing process, we may incorporate various somatic and spiritual practices into our work together, based on your unique needs and values.

I am a trained (CSAT) Certified Sex Addiction Therapist and certified Brainspotting therapist. I am passionate about helping individuals and couples affected by sex and porn compulsivity, and betrayal trauma, including sexting, prostitution, emotional affairs, and physical affairs, as well as anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and life transitions.
