I have experience working with adolescents and adults to address concerns such as anxiety, self-esteem, self-compassion, stress, depression and grief.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)/therapist licensed in Georgia and New York state. Over the past twenty years, I have worked with a diverse group of clients dealing with depression, anxiety, grief, interpersonal issues, parenting challenges, adjustment issues, and attachment-related trauma. I have also supported many people who have experienced sexual trauma, physical abuse, or emotional abuse. I’ve provided therapy for the past seven years as an LCSW.

Life is ever evolving sometimes we believe it to be perfect, other times we see it as being overwhelming, stressful causing us to feel angry, violent, lost, and overworked, we hear and experience heartrending periods of death/grief, highs, and lows that we believe will last forever. We have been told or view ourselves as flawed, not good enough, emotionally, spiritually, and physically injured by others and we start to see ourselves just as they described us. I'm an Italian – Ghanaian Immigrant and I understand what its like to face uncertainty. At young age I immigrated to the U.S and had to deal with all of life’s curveballs: parental divorce, adjusting to new culture, anxiety, depression, etc. However, I learned what it means to be resilient. Resilience takes vulnerability and courage. It takes believing you will make it out on the other side. I understand what it is like to face life’s pressures and questions: what if I fail, and what if I am not good enough? Richard Spivey is a Marriage and Family Therapist who has been practicing since 2021. He graduated from Mercer University in Macon Georgia with a master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Richard believes that in order to be a good therapist he must rely on the patient to help design effective treatment options. He believes that the patient is the only person that can determine if treatment is working so he sees providing therapy as a combined effort between the therapist and the patient.

With a collective of OVER 75 YEARS of experience, each therapist brings a unique and meaningful set of experiences that allows us to share and support one another in our gifts as clinicians. Unlike many therapy practices, we collectively spend time in mutual supervision each week supporting and learning how to best serve our clients. Counseling services focus on helping families and individuals build skills that increase healthy behaviors and foster resiliency. Symptoms and challenges are addressed using a CBT, DBT, Adlerian, and/or a client centered ‘strengths and solutions’ based approach. Emphasis in sessions include gaining awareness of negative self-talk and habits, learning tools to change behaviors, and rewriting new scripts that illuminate strengths, acceptance, and self-discipline. Sand Tray techniques and Play Therapy are additional approaches to help clients process emotions and progress in their goals.
