Sheena Kelly is a licensed professional counselor with over 6 years of experience in the mental health field. Sheena has worked in substance abuse facilities, Community Agencies, and Adoption agencies to develop an overall perspective on individual experiences. Sheena has advanced training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) which gives her more tools to aid in the client's journey.

As a clinician at Counsel Connections (formerly named Thriveworks Counseling), it is my goal to help clients find hope, healing and wholeness. I specialize in working with women who have trauma/abuse/PTSD histories. Anxiety and depression are major focuses of the work I do. Additionally, I specialize in the adoption field, serving birth mothers/families, adoptive families, and adoptees.

Change is possible! For 20 years I have been helping children, adolescents, and adults to successfully navigate life's challenges.I have been privileged to witness improved self-esteem, decreased anxiety,improved relaionships and increased hope again and again! I see our work together as a joint venture and feel privileged to support, encourage, participate and help navigate as needed. I offer brief treatment for specific challenges and longer-term treatment for more complicated and/or long-standing psychological problems. My approach to treatment is eclectic and and always individually tailored to the particular client or family.

I work with individuals and families coping with depression, self esteem, anxiety, behavior problems, relationship issues, adoption, grief, domestic violence, and multicultural issues to help them them in their healing journey, teaching them to refocus on the things that bring true joy. I believe that when clients learn to refocus their thoughts and make key behavioral changes, they are often able to find peace and wellness. A Christ centered approach is offered and discussions of faith are welcome while not mandatory. Client's views are respected and honored.

I am now offering the choice between in person or online video counseling to help persons of all ages who feel anxious, overwhelmed, stressed or depressed. PTP is able to provide therapy, paraprofessional, and psychiatry services to both English & Spanish speaking clients. We offer services in the school, home, and community setting.
