Welcome to a new phase in your journey. I am passionate about working with adults who are going through various challenges including life transitions/changes, anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, self-discovery and self-care. Many adults are living with generational trauma that has impacted their life in known and unknown ways. Oftentimes, day-to-day life gets in the way of healing and adapting due to all of the various responsibilities on your plate which ultimately places you on the back burner. I hope to create a space that is safe, inviting, allows you to openly express yourself, and helps create balance in your life.

I have experience treating individuals and couples with depression, anxiety, attachment and trauma. I have worked extensively with teens, young adults and adults and believe my relationship with my clients is a partnership working to achieve the clients goals.

Though trained in cognitive behavioral therapy, my humanistic background is the foundation for my belief that true healing occurs within relationships. Because I value the power of relationship, I want you to know that I have personally experienced hard things too. My own experiences with anxiety, loss and trauma all contribute to my caring, compassionate and personalized approach in therapy. I also believe that every behavior has a purpose and a payoff. If we can understand what drives the behavior, then we can begin work on strategies that will develop new skills to help you.

I believe that sometimes life will knock you down so you can learn how to fight. I am here to support and empower you in that process. I work with clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts, feelings, and topics of faith can be shared without fear of judgement. As a child who experienced parents within the prison system, single parenting, divorce, and living in a low socio-economic status, I have much personal experience with dealing with obstacles life has thrown at me. With both life experiences and years of substance abuse counseling, relating to my clients with empathy and sympathy comes naturally.

As a counselor I specialize in working with adolescents and adults who have suffered traumatic experiences. I also specialize in stress management, and secondary traumatic stress.
