Elizabeth Lugo graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Masters in Mental Health Counseling. She has been working in the field for over 15 years and has specialized in trauma counseling in children and adults with diagnosis like PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, Borderline personality, and OCD. She now works in her private practice at Trauma and Wellness Counseling Center where she provides Teletherapy services. She is also pursuing her PhD in Counseling at UCF.

I am a licensed psychologist specializing in neuropsychological, educational, and developmental evaluations for children, adolescents, and young adults. I offer comprehensive evaluations that provide valuable information about barriers to a child's success, identify gifts and strengths, and clarify diagnoses. With this knowledge, I am able to identify school-based, home-based and therapeutic interventions that families can put into place to help children overcome challenges...and thrive! Serving as a long-term partner with you, I provide support beyond the evaluation to help your child receive the services that they need.

As a mental health counselor and coach, I take a collaborative and compassionate approach to therapy, creating a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings without judgment. I believe being a therapist who utilizes evidence-based practices to help clients overcome a wide range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. I am determined that every client leaves each and every session with actionable steps to improve their well-being and mental health.

As a therapist, I feel it is most important for a client to feel heard, safe, cared for, and understood by the therapist they choose. I believe that when a client experiences this level of comfort with their therapist, that is when the most positive changes occur. I enjoy working with motivated clients who are seeking to make positive changes in their lives. I support my clients with patience, guidance, empathy, and understanding throughout each unique journey.

Some find it hard to move on after past trauma and others are so anxious about the future that they can’t take another step forward. I walk with them on that journey and help them take the next right step.
