There is a quote by J.R.R. Tolkien, "not all those who wander are lost". I think this is a solid descriptor of my life's journey. To the outside observer, I've looked similar to a vagabond as I've "wasted my potential" walking barefoot through Orlando serving the homeless, living in Brazil while working with at-risk children abandoned to the streets, and even more recently as I've dove into therapy with men and women struggling with sexual addiction and the fallout of effects upon their loved ones. I've wrestled with my own struggles and mental health diagnosis of OCD and now have the privilege of serving others.

For 36 years I have worked as a psychotherapist to help individuals, couples and families find their way to a healthy, satisfying and happy life. I create a supportive, caring and empathetic environment to help you work through the difficulties you face. I specialize in sex, porn, and love related behaviors and addictions. I work with individuals and couples who are trying to work through the devastation caused by secret unwanted behaviors. If you need clarification whether your behavior is an addiction or if you’re already aware it’s an addiction, I have the expertise to work with you. I have been trained as a Certified Sex Addictions Therapist and a Certified Couples Betrayal Recovery Therapist – Candidate. Because I’m older, I’ve had many of the problems that are common to us all and dealt with them successfully, including life transitions, relationship problems, career difficulties, financial challenges, weight control, and mood and emotional problems. Because I discovered an effective weight loss and control method, losing over 100 pounds after 25 years of obesity and failure, weight control has become a speciality. I’ve also had lots of experience and success helping people with severe mental illnesses.

I prefer clients who seek to improve their lives and want professional assistance in making needed changes in their self-sabotaging beliefs, faulty thinking, destructive behaviors, or abusive relationships. I served 29 years as a chaplain in the Army reserves, state-side and overseas, helping military personnel and their families. I have extensive training and experience in treatment for those who have been traumatized, or sexually abused, and who are registered sex offenders.

Living life on life’s terms is challenging. My purpose is to guide, as you change old patterns of limiting thoughts and behaviors, and increase your capacity to live more fully.
