I specialize in sex, porn, and love related behaviors and addictions. I work with individuals and couples who are trying to work through the devastation caused by secret unwanted behaviors. If you need clarification whether your behavior is an addiction or if you’re already aware it’s an addiction, I have the expertise to work with you. I have been trained as a Certified Sex Addictions Therapist and a Certified Couples Betrayal Recovery Therapist. I will work with you to form a plan to stop the behavior, find a healthy way of coping, and work to gain insight and heal the roots of the unwanted behaviors.
Because trauma from the past is usually at the root of unwanted behaviors and addictions, I offer EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy. I will work with you to develop ways of stabilizing your emotions while helping you to work through the negative memories, beliefs, and thoughts at the root of your trauma.
A big obstacle in overcoming unwanted behaviors is the belief that you can solve the problem on your own. Trying harder or promising yourself you will never do it again usually does not provide the results you desire.
