There are so many challenges people face today, e.g., from social, emotional, spiritual and relational concerns to others some individuals are too afraid to mention out loud. Namely, anxiety, depression and low-self concept can have a person feeling overwhelmed and ill-equipped to face life's daily happenings. People need someone in whom they may confide, without judgment, who can also help them navigate the journey of both identifying root issues and conceptualizing ways to reduce their distress. Women, especially, may need someone with whom they can build trust, who has life experience as well as professional training.
My passion is to help those facing such challenges who are motivated to learn more about themselves, aspects that contribute to their distress, and work toward making changes that help them to reach their desired therapeutic goals. I adjust my approach based on each client, using cognitive-behavioral, emotion-focused, strengths-based and/or other models.
