Do you struggle with feeling disconnected from yourself and others? Do you often feel exhausted, overwhelmed, frustrated, lost, working hard just to get through the day? Do you wonder if life should feel somehow better? Happier? Now more than ever, people are feeling anxious, overwhelmed, and uncertain about how they are supposed to move beyond the loss, beyond the trauma that continues to impact their careers, their relationships, their lives. Pushing away your needs and not taking time for yourself can lead to long-term issues for your mind and body. We believe it shouldnʼt be so hard to live a better life.

Everyone has a rough time sometimes. This can be a result of trauma or mental health or even our own choices. My goal as a therapist is to help recover from those times and enter the next phase of healing so that the third phase of life can be amazing. Our past doesn't define us but how we respond to the past can define us. Let's work together to make that the most positive growth point.

Life is a journey and does not come with a manual. I enjoy working with people of any age, sex, race, cultural, religious, gender identity, and socioeconomic background who are committed to improving their lives and are willing to engage in the process of change. Someone who shows up and does the work. I have much experience in helping people make lifestyle changes that involve not just leaving the problem behaviors and feelings behind, but also understanding triggers, being aware of their presence, changing their thinking, and eventually their choices.

Shame is never a motivator. Many of your issues may be rooted in shame that you never even realized. Shame can take on many forms; pressure to live up to other's expectations of us, pressure to perform at the rate those around us seem to be, or pressure to live up to our own impossible standards we have created for ourselves. When these measures are not met, we can feel depleted, discouraged, and even hopeless. Or perhaps we have been verbally told by others (either past or present) they were disappointed in us or we weren't good enough. And we cannot seem to escape these defeating and destructive thoughts.

I have worked with various ages and issues, including depression, anxiety, and trauma. My counseling style is warm, empathic, and genuine. My approach is primarily cognitive-behavioral and humanistic. I believe that in many instances, our thought patterns directly affect our emotions and, subsequently, our behavior. I come from a viewpoint that you are the expert of you. No one knows you better than you! I look at myself as a guide and allow my clients to dictate the course and direction of counseling.

“Scared is what you're feeling. Brave is what you're doing.” ― Emma Donoghue - This quote embodies the emotions felt by someone who is actively seeking help and afraid of what others may say and uncertain its outcome. - What often leads individuals to counseling is "When you get tired of being tired!" : Tired of feeling alone, suffering from any from of trauma and its symptoms such as depression, anxiety, fear, stress, grief and loss, identify/sexuality and relational conflicts. - Sometimes all a person needs is to feel heard, educated, validated and accepted.

"Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times if one only remembers to turn on the light." — Albus Dumbledore. I consider clients to be experts in their own lives, clients know what suggestions sound appealing to them to help deal with problems in life. We may not always be able to change the outcome of our situations in life, though we certainly can help how we respond to problems that arise. I want to showcase to clients that change is possible, regardless of the circumstances that they may be facing, growth is possible to help us heal from our worries.

My job is to help them on their journey in working toward a healthy outlook and better connections in their relationships. I enjoy working with those who are dealing with grief & loss issues, relationship struggles, adolescents who are figuring out life, & adults who need someone who cares.

Life can be a chaotic mess. Especially for adolescents and young adults trying to learn about themselves while navigating environmental pressures. Challenges such as first jobs, new relationships, evaluating potential career paths, and exploring new identities can lead to increases in anxiety, anger, and self- esteem issues.

My goal is to help others find peace in their lives. I love working with families who struggle to maintain a calm home because It Is Hard! Sometimes we find it’s ourselves that block peace. I also very much enjoy helping all ages individually find out what triggers them and how to regulate to find peace in themselves.
