I have been in the field of behavioral health since I was 21 years old, working in a residential treatment center for adolescents. In my time in the field I have come to believe that emotional regulation is at the heart of all psychological problems. Individuals seek therapy when emotional regulation breaks down. When you can emotionally regulate, it does not matter how big your problems are, you are able to function successfully. When emotional regulation breaks down, it does not matter how small your problems are, you will have difficulty functioning. My goal is to help clients develop better emotional regulation to cope with life

I work with individuals, married couples, families, and First Responders dealing with issues of shame, depression, anxiety, relational difficulties and sexual brokenness, work/family struggles, anxiety, grief, and spiritual confusion. I use a trauma-informed approach when engaging with my clients and their story. My question is not, "What is wrong with you?," but instead I ask "What happened to you?" I aim to empower my clients by educating them on their options and giving them an active role in their care.

I work closely with sexual and gender minority individuals (LGBTQIA+), BIPOC and immigrant/refugee populations. I specialize in working with individuals who are 18+ and who may need help with processing trauma, stabilizing emotional regulation and working towards adaptive core beliefs. I believe that oppressive structures impact a person's emotional wellbeing on a multitude of levels and that intersectional identities of a person are all important in the processing of the mental and physical wellbeing of an individual. I have provided therapeutic services for clients for over 15 years.
