Brian is a neurodiversity-affirming therapist who has a particular passion for helping people to manage ADHD, Autism, and the many issues that can develop because of living with these conditions. He also has experience working with anxiety and mood disorders as well as grief and trauma.

I provide a relational connection that allows folks to practice vulnerability, fearless expression, build ambiguity tolerance, process experiences, find self-awareness despite, or without, the presence of shame and guilt. I encourage the practice of trusting self and others; for some of you this may be the first time. You will find me to be authentic, energy matching, adaptive, and at times humorous. We will oscillate from gentle challenges, celebrations, and sorrows which mirrors the ups and downs in life. I offer brief and long-term work, and many folks stay for years. I balance psychodynamic therapy with real life skills.

Through therapy, we learn that no journey is impossible; however sometimes we must detour...delay...revisit...or speed up! This analogy speaks to the true essence of therapy, helping others to navigate obstacles that present themselves along their journey. As a queer transgender man of color, I passionately believe that when individuals are able to live as their true authentic selves they can live longer, robust, and happier lives. I am a counselor in Michigan with 15+ years of experience providing counseling to families and individuals across the lifespan in-person, on the phone, and online formats. I have worked with clients on a wide range of issues from life adjustments to severe and persistent mental illness. I am a special needs parent, with a young adult son with Autism; and another young adult daughter that is LGBTQ+.
