I believe that inner peace is attainable for everyone. I use a humanistic approach to therapy based on individual needs and personality. My style is active engagement, authenticity, and humor to heal when appropriate. I don’t believe in black and white thinking and understand we all have unique journeys and experiences.

I have a passion for helping others live a better life and guide them through their journey of self-exploration and change. I believe in meeting my clients where they are at and provide them with safety, unconditional acceptance, and genuineness. I am culturally sensitive and LGBTQA+ affirming. I have a strong passion for helping people who feel different. I believe in the importance of using different therapeutic techniques depending on client’s needs and the situation. My counseling techniques include person-centered, psychodynamic, existential therapy, humanistic therapy, and cognitive-behavioral therapy.

I am passionate about providing evidence based practices which are unique to each individuals needs. I have training and certifications in TF-CBT, EMDR, MATCH and Gottman Level 1 and I have 100 post graduate direct supervision hours in Florida under my RMFTI (registered marriage and family therapy intern) license.

I have been working with individuals and families in both community and mental health focused positions for over 5 years. I received my MSW from the University of Michigan and have experience working with adolescents and adults. Therapeutically, I strive to utilize holistic approaches to wellness that both align with the individual’s personality and lifestyle.

I strongly believe each person carries the power within to create a life in which they want to live—a life with hope and well-being. As a therapist, I offer a friendly, safe, and warm environment where individuals and families can discuss life’s challenges. Using a variety of treatment approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strength-Based treatment and Family Systems Therapy, my goal is to help clients reach the place where they can thrive.

Life can be a struggle for anyone, if not everyone from time to time! We often find ourselves wanting to talk about the ups and down or just having someone to listen to us but we are hesitant to reach out due to reasons such as trust issues with others, lack of support, or stigmata related to us seeking help.
