I also have experience working with life transitions, career changes, relationship issues, and self esteem.

My background working with adolescents is extensive and incorporates dialectical behavior therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused, narrative therapy and motivational interviewing to accommodate each of my client’s unique needs. I have experience in play therapy techniques such as sand tray, puppet/doll play and interpretive drawing. Play Therapy is a child's natural form of communication that reveals many hidden emotions for a child. My knowledge working with children from traumatic backgrounds, anger issues, anxiety and developmental delays allows for me to work with families to build stronger relationships.

I have over 8 years of experience in the mental health field, and I bring customized, compassionate care to each session to meet the needs of my clients. My approach as a holistic trauma therapist allows me to customize each session uniquely to each client's situation. My techniques help guide my client deeper into the unconscious layers of stored emotions to bring to awareness of what needs to be released. Instead, I respect the client's focus and seek to understand what those are. Ideally, the client has goals that are both in the here and now and can be sustaining and realistic. In addition, the client's needs are reasonable and obtainable needs such as improving one's mood because they're sad, alleviating symptoms of anxiety that have been ongoing for weeks, or having a better relationship with a family member.
