Hello! I want to begin by acknowledging that no one visits these pages without a reason. Though our existing relationships can include periods of enjoyment and peace, we can also find ourselves in situations and seasons that may appear to be hopeless with no obvious way forward. But hope exists. Licensed in MD. and SC, I'm eager to help you and your loved one to see that and experience it. As a child, adolescent and adult counselor, I am passionate about helping others through life's challenges. My goal is to provide a safe space to support growth, transparency, and change. I work with individuals, families and couples to facilitate goals, provide coping skills, and improve overall understanding of how to utilize these in everyday life, school, and home.

I am a client-centered therapist who likes to work collaboratively with each person. I see it as a privilege to be allowed to help you, and I treat each client with dignity and respect. I work with most issues, including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, ADHD, parenting, and adolescent problems. My work focuses primarily on individual therapy, couples and family therapy, and therapy with teenagers. As each person is unique, my approach varies with each person or couple, depending on the reason or reasons for seeking counseling. The conditions I typically treat include depression, anxiety, relationship problems, substance abuse, trauma, grief and other life problems.

I'm a certified EMDR therapist by EMDRIA. I use this approach to help adult survivors of emotional, physical and/or sexual trauma. I specialize in treating Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Grief, and Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). My passion is to help you break through the emotional blocks that are negatively influencing your present thoughts and emotions, and keeping you from living a fulfilling life.

The ideal client who would reach out for my services comes from various backgrounds and situations, but tends to be those who are at a point in life where they feel stuck and are searching for someone to aid them with support and goal setting. This ranges from those who are struggling with a child at home, to children and adults on the autism spectrum, and those who need court mandated services. I have biblical insight that can provide a faith based perspective if and when that is desired. Sometimes we just need someone who is willing to meet us where we are at in life, and help us feel we are not alone.

I work with adults as well as children/teens from age 9-17 years old. I have personal knowledge and experience with individuals in public safety, hospital staff, military, and first responders. I can relate to the stress and strain that type of work causes in your personal and professional life. I am trained in Compassion Fatigue and Burnout (CCFP) that can help you enjoy work and activities again. My experience in that area has transitioned well over to helping others. Depression, anxiety, relationships, communication are all hidden issues when you think it is just being tired or “worn out” from your work.
