I chose to name my practice Binnacle Psychiatry because this represents my treatment philosophy: meet people where they are, assist them to identify their goals and provide a safe and steady harbor for them as they journey towards their goals. I offer medication management, therapy a combination of both and TMS.

I am board certified psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner providing psychiatric services includes evaluations, diagnosis, and psychiatric medication management for such conditions as depression, personality disorders, anxiety, bipolar, and attention deficit disorders among others for children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics. I am a doctorally prepared advanced practice registered nurse (ARNP). I received a Doctoral degree in Nursing Practice (DNP) from University of Washington. I am a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC). I pursued my studies in the field of mental health because I wanted to give patients more individualized psychiatric care and positively impact their lives in holistic ways. In my practice, I practice psychiatry with strong emphasis on patient well-being, evidence-based practice and treatment plan that incorporates the goals and needs of her patients.

Accepting New Patients for ADHD Management via Telehealth/In-Person. Are you looking to work with a medical provider who can help evaluate and manage ADHD? Adults with ADHD may struggle with staying focused, paying attention, completing projects and may feel impulsive and restless. This can affect your work, personal lives and relationships. I provide comprehensive evaluations to discern if your symptoms may be due to ADHD or other conditions, and provide both prescription and non-prescription options for treatment. I believe that ADHD can become a strength if it is managed properly and responsibly.

I am a doctorally-prepared, board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. I utilize a holistic, trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and collaborative approach to managing a variety of mental health conditions requiring medication treatment. Although I specialize in psychiatric (medication) treatment, I value integrative and complementary therapies and will offer these options alongside medications as requested or indicated. Additionally, I offer the option of conducting visits virtually. In doing so, I aim to increase access to psychiatric care with the use of Telemedicine, an evidence-based healthcare delivery model.

I’m an integrative child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist passionate about empowering teens, college students and young adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma and identity exploration to find calm, clarity and connection through a blend of lifestyle-interventions, psychotherapy and medication management. I have a special interest in working with marginalized communities, including providing gender-affirming care for LGBTQ2S+ individuals, supporting those who are neurodivergent and holding space for racial and ethnic minorities struggling with historical trauma and systemic racism.

Dr. Zipperman is a Board Certified Psychiatrist graduating from the University of Washington Psychiatry Residency and Loma Linda School of Medicine. Balanced Living Psychiatry is built on the understanding that happiness, peace of mind, and overall wellness is found at the intersection of healthy living, strong coping skills/ self-care, insight oriented therapy and psychiatric medications. Dr. Zipperman adopts the approach of integrative psychiatry, providing medication management and psychotherapy interventions but also building a team of providers for her patients including highly specialized psychotherapists, yoga/mindfulness/meditation teachers, Naturopathic Doctors, and the patient's own Primary Care Physicians.
