I am dedicated to promoting mental wellbeing for individuals 18 years and older. I use an evidence based, holistic and individualized treatment approach to obtain optimal mental wellness. I believe in multimodal treatments to help clients achieve the best version of themselves.

We understand that you are coming to us at one of the most vulnerable and difficult times in your life. We will listen to your concerns without judgement and offer a safe space to overcome your unique challenges. We are here to help if you are struggling with overwhelming feelings of sadness, irritability, anxious thoughts, or chaotic shifts in your mood. We can assess for ADHD if you feel unable to focus or struggle with completing tasks without distraction. We are experienced in providing trauma informed care.

I’m a board certified psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner with an additional board certification in adult-geriatric primary care. While working in primary care, I found that there was a vast need for mental health services in our community. I realized that I could help fill that need, so I went back to school to study psychiatry. Now, I’m honored to be able to serve our community by providing holistic mental health care and education across the lifespan. My practice incorporates mindfulness, yoga, and Ayurveda because I believe true mental health care focuses on the whole person, and not just the mind or the med.

Welcome to my profile, I'm Kelley Bitter, a dedicated mental health nurse practitioner with over two decades of rich experience in the healthcare realm. My educational path began at the University of Phoenix and reached its zenith at the University of Akron, where I achieved my APRN certification specializing in psychiatry. This journey has bestowed upon me a profound understanding and essential skills in nursing, which I apply daily in my practice. As an expert in mental health, my passion lies in supporting individuals through their emotional challenges and managing conditions like ADHD.

I have been a health care provider for 30+ years starting as a Certified Nurse Midwife. Returning for a second degree in Psychiatry in 2013. I practice patient and family centered psychiatry with individuals and families to help people create a life that has dignity, meaning and joy. My practice consists of clients from 5-95 years of age. I have always believed that brain health is the key to every form of well being and every individual regardless of their diagnosis or symptoms has the potential to be healthier.

I offer in-person consultations, individual psychotherapy, and couples therapy. I take pride in bringing compassion, patience, and transparency to every encounter. I believe each individual is unique and complex, and should play an active role in making decisions related to their health and well-being. I commonly work with individuals struggling with anxiety, depressive symptoms, trauma, grief, relationships, life transitions, existential angst, sleep or sex dysfunction, and/or those who simply seek to know themselves and improve their health on a more holistic level.
