Nelson Kwowi, PMHNP- Board Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) in Psychiatry to serve pediatric, adolescent, and adult clients with mental health conditions. He graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Arlington and worked at JPS Hospital’s Department of Emergency Psychiatry for 5+ years. He then completed his Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University. Nelson has worked with clients experiencing mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma, psychotic disorders, Schizophrenia, and addiction disorders. He focuses on providing compassionate and supportive care.

Dr. Escamilla is a graduate of Harvard College and the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. He completed his psychiatry training at the University of California at San Francisco and also completed a research fellowship with the American Psychiatric Association.

Mr. Victor Lee Ilog is a nationally credentialed and double board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner. Mr. Ilog holds advanced training as a nationally recognized Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist. He also specializes in addiction medicine, treatment-resistant depression, intellectual disabilities (IDD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorders (ADHD), insomnia, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia. He holds additional specialization as a DEA-certified Suboxone provider. Mr. Ilog. has served individuals and families for over seventeen years.

Dr. Karolyn Skalany focuses on providing patient centered medical care for the treatment of depression, anxiety, panic disorder, ADHD, and insomnia. Dr. Skalany is also a specialist in female reproductive psychiatry, including perinatal and post-partum depression, pre-menstrual dysphoric disorder, and mood issues related to perimenopause.

Dr. De Paz is the director of Behavioral Health for CommuniCare health centers, he received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch and did his residency training in General Psychiatry and a Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Texas Medical Branch. After his training he worked at the Center for Health Care Services in San Antonio for 3 years and served as the Director of the Children’s program and the Dual Diagnosis clinic. He has also worked for JSA telehealth who were in the forefront of the use of telemedicine services to reach the most underserved populations in the state.

Dr. Corona is a staff psychiatrist at Talkiatry. He attended the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio School of Medicine where he completed his medical degree. He received his Adult Psychiatry Residency training at UT Health San Antonio. Dr. Corona combines medication management with therapeutic techniques and works collaboratively with therapists, as needed, to create an individualized treatment plan for his patients.

I am a board certified psychiatrist and I have been in practice in diverse settings for 19 years. I trained in general psychiatry at Maimonides medical center in New York and completed a geriatric fellowship at New York University. I firmly believe that effective treatment is a collaborative process and I am committed to helping people address symptoms and difficulties compassionately, in ways that are tailored to the individual.
