Nathan Gardner is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Texas who has been practicing since 2021. Mental illness knows no socio-economic boundaries and afflicts people in all socioeconomic statuses. Yet, mental illness has unnecessarily been a taboo, which is particularly unfortunate because this only makes it more likely that people will suffer in silence. It is an ordinary illness with its own kind of treatment approaches. Life is full of overwhelming challenges that may affect mental balance. Also, mental illness is often not situational and is prominent among members of certain families. With all this, it is no surprise that mental illness is rampant and should be taken seriously and treated, rather than hiding in shame.

I am looking for those people who don't understand why they feel the way they do because one of my greatest pleasures is to help you find answers and the steps to get better. I enjoy teaching my patients and can often make the complex disorders understandable. I like to empower my patients to choose the best treatments for them. I have experience with the treatment of depression, anxiety, bipolar, PTSD, substance use, personality disorders and schizophrenia. I am up to date on the latest treatments but I also love when I can help people off of their medications for good.

Jim is a psychiatric nurse practitioner who brings a wealth of knowledge about mental health and experience in behavioral health management to our clinic where he serves as our Clinical Director and provides medication management for our patients. Jim has an MSN from Seattle University and worked in behavioral health administration prior to becoming a psychiatric nurse. As an RN, he worked as a staff nurse on a medical-psych unit and as a charge nurse on an adolescent psych unit and an adult psychiatric intensive care unit. He became a nurse to work in psychiatry and has always worked in psychiatry – he loves every day on the job.

Dr. Tirado is Board Certified in General and Addiction and Addiction Medicine. He is a recognized thought leader, innovator, mentor and clinical expert in addiction treatment and systems of care. Dr. Tirado spent the first half of his career in academia holding faculty appointments at University of Pennsylvania and University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He subsequently has developed and implemented hospital, facility-based and outpatient addiction treatment services, outpatient chronic pain management and primary care for addiction programs. His consulting work concentrates on medication therapy and clinical trials, health plans, peer recovery support, expert witness and medical board review.

Thomas (Tom) Hageman graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing’s Doctor of Nursing Practice program as a Psychiatric Mental Health NP. Previous background also includes a BS in Neuroscience from the University of Pittsburgh. Mr. Hageman has experience working with adults and adolescents, of all cultural backgrounds, suffering from depression, anxiety, other mood disorders, suicidality and life stressors, along with experience working with those in the LGBTQ community.
