Brian Howard is a board certified advanced practice psychiatric nurse practitioner whose primary focus is mental health care of clients to promote optimal living within their environment. He received his post-masters as a psychiatric nurse practitioner from Washburn University, his master's in nursing and family nurse practitioner from Eastern Kentucky University, and bachelor's in nursing from McKendree College. He has worked in private practice, emergency medicine, and public health.

I diagnose and treat a wide variety of mental health conditions in a safe, compassionate, and empathetic environment. In some cases, I may provide some adjunct, but limited Individual Therapy. The thing I want you to most understand - there is hope. I am a big proponent of helping clients see the end-goal of mental health treatment - to feel and function better. There are two things a client must do to accomplish this goal. One, effective therapy; and two, the right mental health medication(s). And in case you are wondering - yes, I believe you are normal!

As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, I take a comprehensive approach in the treatment of your mental health which includes a combination of medication management and psychotherapy. Utilizing current evidence based research within the context of your unique story allows us to tailor individualized treatment plans in a collaborative partnership. I am excellent at what I do. I provide evidence based, state of the art, medication management for Psychiatric Disorders. I have practiced Psychiatry for 40 years in diverse settings. I specialize in services for treatment resistant patients. I also provide expert opinion for guardianship applications. We provide Cognitive Testing, Pharmacogenomic Counseling, Pre-Nuptial Counseling & Telehealth services on pre-paid cash payment basis. We also provide individual therapy in selected cases. Same day appointments are available on cash payment basis only. No-shows and cancellation fees apply. TMS services available at Lorain office now.

My focus is on making precise and accurate diagnoses that then drive my psychopharmacologic approaches. I also employ an eclectic psychotherapeutic approach that includes using biblical perspectives as well as psychodynamic and cognitive restructuring modalities. I place a strong emphasis on establishing rapport and using the most robust psychotherapeutic approaches in dealing with complicated and treatment-resistant cases. I also employ much flexibility in my time spent with patients to allow for maximum effectiveness.

Dr. Anderson, a graduate of the University Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio School of Medicine, completed his psychiatric residency at Texas A&M University Health Sciences Center/Scott & White Hospital, where he served as both chief resident of psychiatry, as well as the house staff president. He served in the U. S. Air Force, where he earned his wings as a flight surgeon and served in numerous leadership roles, including squadron command.

As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Dave brings his easy going communication style, sense of humor, honesty, and empathetic engagement to make it easy for him and his patients to engage in his holistic treatment approach. Dave utilizes his 14 years of healthcare experience from an EMT, nurses aide, psychiatric registered nurse, to a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner in his day-to-day care to his patients. His psychiatric experience stems from settings such as crisis, psychiatric inpatient hospital, correctional, and outpatient community mental health/substance use disorder treatment.

I welcome all people who struggle with mental illness and life stresses. I also help those who struggle with relationship problems and have difficulty managing their emotions.I have been practicing psychiatry for over 30 years since completing my residency training in adult psychiatry at Johns Hopkins University. I have practiced in multiple clinical settings including inpatient, outpatient and Intensive outpatient programs. I see both adults and adolescents. In addition to medication management for most psychiatric disorders, I often also provide individual psychotherapy, marital therapy and family therapy.

Dr. Karuvannur (Dr. K) is a Psychiatrist in Ohio who has been practicing since 2018. He is dual board certified in both child/adolescent and adult psychiatry. He trained in adult psychiatry at Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, NY where he served as the education committee representative. He completed his child & adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Cleveland Clinic where he served as chief fellow. He is a member of the American Association of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, the American Psychiatric Association, and the Ohio Psychiatric Physician’s Association.

Steve is Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (CNP) with a focus on providing treatment for a broad-spectrum of mental health disorders. He earned his Master of Science in Nursing Degree from The University of Akron and is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. He has experience in inpatient, outpatient, as well as community mental health settings as a Nurse Practitioner and over 25 years of experience as a Registered Nurse working in psychiatric / behavioral health hospitals. Steve has also earned his credential for Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) from The University of Maryland.

My goal is to provide the best mental health care possible. I accomplish this by being thorough and accurate in assessment, and diagnosis while providing an exceptional level of empathy and compassion. Accepting all major insurances. For self pay clients my fees for an evaluation is $300.00; for a medication/follow up appointment the fee is $125. For clinical hypnosis it is a self pay fee of $250 for 3 sessions. Clients are permitted to record the final session
