Our God-given mission is to provide holistic, evidence-based, and compassionate treatment to those who suffer from mental illness, emotional pain, and addiction. Our team consist of a psychiatrist, therapist/counselors, nurse practitioners, and nurses to help clients achieve real outcomes with their mental health and addiction recovery.

Mental health is not a "one size fits all". Everyone deserves to have their individualized needs heard and validated. If you have symptoms of depression, mania, psychosis, anxiety, lack of focus, anger, sleeplessness, etc. I am here to provide support. My goal is to help you reach your goals.

Although I enjoy helping both men and women to become the best version of themselves, I especially find purpose in helping young women and the LGBQ+ population. I employ a non-judgmental and holistic approach, focusing on all areas of ones life. My medication recommendations are up to date with the newest available treatment options. I feel especially comfortable in treating ADHD, mood disorders, PTSD, depression, and anxiety. I also utilize a trauma informed approach, and will walk with you through this darkness.

I am committed to always providing client education, client-centered care, supportive therapy, evidence-based techniques, and evidence-based treatment interventions in my practice. Naturally, I have always been engaged in coaching others through life and inspiring them towards their goals. I am committed to help others work towards small, reasonable, and realistic goals to achieve their long term goals. Treating the whole person is essential in my practice. Incorporation of all of these areas is necessary to promote healing in individuals who are experiencing emotional distress.

Sylvie is a compassionate provider who focuses on a holistic, individualized approach to health by devoting time to your care. She is dual-certified and offers dual diagnoses of addiction and underlying mental health issues. Sylvie's goal is to build healthy communities and reduce the stigma associated with addiction, psychiatry, and weight. She offers flexible hours early in the morning, evenings, or weekends, no waiting time, telehealth, and in-person visits. No insurance is required, copay, or surprise billing.

I am here to assist with improving your mental health so that you can reach your full potential in life. Unlike other mental health practices, I am always accessible to my patients. I offer telehealth, in-person, and in-home services to accommodate patient needs. I practice general psychiatry for patients 13 years of age and older.

Too often mental health is considered separate from physical health. It's not. No one would expect to get through life being 100% physically healthy all the time and nor should they expect to get through it with perfect mental health. Mental health problems are normal to experience. Whether you are struggling with an episode of depression or chronic anxiety, whether you are grieving or processing through a traumatic event, you are not alone.

Most of my clients are queer, neurodivergent, chronically ill, and/or disabled. They may seek help with transition concerns, psychiatric medication, identifying/confirming a diagnosis, or therapy/support for living in a society that's a poor fit. Whatever their need, they're seeking someone comfortable with the diversity of experiences that our identities bring and how these intersect in society.

Sophia Kassem, D.O. is now accepting new patients for in-person and telehealth appointments! Dr. Kassem provides psychiatric evaluations and treatment to children, adolescents, and young adults, mainly focusing on patients ages 6 to 21. She specializes in depression, anxiety, OCD, bipolar disorders, and ADHD. Dr. Kassem is committed to de-stigmatizing mental health issues.

My clients appreciate how I listen intently, ask critical questions and make them feel at ease immediately with unconditional care and warmth. I have been working with patients to improve their wellbeing and morale with kind words, support and pharmaceutical expertise since 1990, when I started my career in the United States Navy Healthcare field. I've been a practicing psychiatric nurse since 1994 and as Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner since 2005. Many areas of treatment have included mood disorders, anxiety, PTSD/trauma related issues and eating disorders. Working at many different levels of care, including inpatient, outpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient has allowed me to see mental health at a variety of intensities. I believe in the motivation of the individual and integrating with their health care team to allow the individual to function at the highest level.
