Samantha Shue is a board certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who specializes in adult and children services. She has experience working in a Residential Treatment Center and Therapeutic Family Foster Care agency with young children and adolescents, as well as experience working in outpatient mental health treatment, telepsychiatry, addiction services and the Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP).

I enjoy working with clients who are motivated to better understand themselves and work on realizing their goals. Sometimes lifestyle change or even talk therapy alone is not enough to help people overcome their struggles and my objective is to help those individuals bridge that gap to living a more fulfilling life.

Dr. Juliet Nichols has been a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology since 2002 and has been practicing psychiatry for over 25 years. While an expert in psychopharmacology, Dr. Nichols has an integrative approach to treatment and she often incorporates psychotherapeutic techniques when appropriate, tailoring every treatment to each patient's individual needs. She completed her Psychiatry residency at Stony Brook-SUNY and Geriatric Psychiatry Fellowship at the Albert Einstein School of Medicine.

My ideal client is someone who needs to be cared for and heard. They are in need of a provider that will meet them where they are, who is kind, understanding, compassionate, and honest. My ideal client's goals are to be well, to maximize their potential, and to feel their efforts are paying off. They want to know they are in control of their lives and their care. They want to feel valued and safe. Building relationships of trust is one of my top priorities and I sincerely enjoy caring for clients individually; they are not simply a number or name on a screen.

We do participate with: AETNA OPEN CHOICE, MERITAIN, GEHA PPO, UHC STUDENT PPO. WE DO NOT ACCEPT ANY HMO or POS Insurances, Medicare, Medicaid, or BCBS plans. Dr. Allen specializes in Women’s Mental Health, including the diagnosis and treatment of Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder, the treatment of mental health conditions in the perinatal period, coping with infertility, and in mood disorders during menopause.

Megan is a board certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). She has worked in the mental health field since 2014 and has a wide array of experience working with adults from diverse backgrounds in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

As a physician and therapist, I believe that mental health is characterized by flexibility and fluidity of thought and intention. I take a balanced and gentle approach in my treatment style and am careful to gauge and work with each of my patients wherever each may be. I enjoy helping people work to live more authentically and vibrantly. I try to help my patients unlock underlying patterns that may perpetuate a sense of stagnation. While I readily offer the use of medications if and when they may be helpful, I have often found talk therapy to achieve enduring change.

Dr. Shapiro is a board-certified Staff Psychiatrist at Talkiatry who has been in practice for over 10 years. At the heart of Dr. Shapiro’s clinical approach is a strong emphasis on establishing trust and building a therapeutic relationship in order to help patients achieve their goals. Dr. Shapiro has held academic appointments at Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine and SUNY Downstate Medical Center and spent most of her professional career supervising and teaching medical students and psychiatry residents. Prior to Talkiatry, Dr Shapiro spent over 4 years as an Attending Outpatient Psychiatrist at Maimonides Medical Center.

I am a board-certified Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and neuroscientist at Columbia University with expertise in treating a range of mental health problems, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, OCD, PTSD, adult ADHD, substance use, and psychosis. I work collaboratively with patients to develop a treatment approach that incorporates psychotherapy and/or medications. My specializations include psychodynamic psychotherapy balanced with pragmatic and behavioral approaches. In addition, I specialize in managing multiple medications, providing a careful assessment of each medication and coordinating their interactions.

I am a board certified adult, child & adolescent psychiatrist specializing in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric disorders with an expertise in psychotherapy. I believe thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that cause conflicts in our lives can be identified and processed using a variety of techniques and methods. I aim to create a partnership with my patients and a safe environment to explore and develop insightful understanding which might help relieve these issues and bring comfort to patients' lives. I am a Columbia University-trained, Board-Certified psychiatrist and researcher. I help people with a wide variety of psychological problems including addiction, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, panic attacks, OCD, and PTSD. I believe that treatment should be personalized and tailored in each individual's needs and goals, and I offer both medications and psychotherapy. In addition, I offer treatment with buprenorphine (Suboxone) and extended-release naltrexone (Vivitrol) to help people with heroin or prescription opioid problems.

Emily is a ANCC board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner. She received a bachelor of science in nursing and a master of science in psychiatric mental health nursing from New York University. Emily completed her residency at the Northern California VA Medical Center, where her clinical experience included both dual-diagnosis and trauma-focused care.

Dr. Lyman is a board-certified psychiatrist who values the lived experience of every individual seeking treatment. She completed her undergraduate studies at Stanford University, received her MPH from University of Hawai'i, Manoa and graduated with her MD from the John A. Burns School of Medicine. She completed her residency training in Psychiatry at the Queens Medical Center, where she served as chief resident. She is currently pursuing a nutritional psychiatry certificate through the Integrative Psychiatry Institute and has a particular interest in the connection between the food we consume and our emotional well-being.
