My clinical focus is adults ages 18-65.
My journey into providing mental health services for the community began about 16 years ago while I was employed as a registered nurse at a local hospital. After being assigned to the hospital's inpatient mental health unit, I fell in love with the specialty. I have focused my career on providing mental health services since. I have gained well rounded experience in the field of mental health over the past sixteen years, and have worked in a variety of different settings including the psychiatric emergency room, inpatient hospital, outpatient clinics, and education.

I am a compassionate, dedicated, board-certified, doctorate trained, psychiatric nurse practitioner, with years of experience, whose primary focus is working with children and adolescents from age 4 up through and including age 18, as well as with adults.
Mental illness can cause a person to feel alone, and misunderstood. Individuals may also feel overwhelmed, hopeless, and fearful that they will never feel better. If the individual struggling happens to be a child, worrying is relentless for the caregivers. Those struggling with mental health symptoms, also deserve to feel, that they are being heard. It is the role of the psychiatric nurse practitioner to support, to educate, to validate, to give hope, as well as to treat, utilizing a combination of psychiatric medication and psychotherapy.
